Is my caricature drawn by a real person?
Yes. I’m Sébastien Rieu, and I draw every caricature myself, with Indian ink and watercolour on paper. I have been doing this for 25 years. No AI, templates or filters are used.
Do I receive a drawing by email, a printed gift or the original?
You choose. The 24-hour option is an HD scan sent by email, ready for you to print. Mugs and other gifts are printed in the UK from the scan of my drawing. A signed original on paper is a separate purchase, sent from France.
How long will my order take?
The caricature by email is delivered within 24 hours. For printed gifts, allow an estimated 7–12 days from order to delivery, including the drawing and printing. Please reply promptly when your sketch is ready to approve. For a signed original sent from France, allow about two weeks; contact me to check your date.
Where are the gifts printed and posted?
I draw in Bordeaux, France. Your mug, socks, poster or other printed gift is then produced and dispatched in the UK. Mainland UK delivery is included in the displayed gift prices.
Can I ask for changes?
Yes. After you place and pay for your order, I email you a sketch. You can ask for adjustments before I finish the artwork. For printed gifts, your sketch is approved before printing.
How can I see that the work is hand-drawn?
Browse the gallery, watch the France 3 report or ask me for a progress photo of your commission. The work begins with pen, ink and watercolour on paper.
What photos should I send?
Choose clear, recent photos with the face easy to see. You can upload photos and add instructions before payment. Include what makes the recipient recognisable, such as their favourite hobby or a familiar accessory. Caricature orders do not include a background.
